Decisions:
D. Everyone is to use the standard openID account and password to log onto questionnaire for the time being.
D. We can't afford to let the questionnaire slip any more.

Issues:
I. Timeline for having the structure in place to allow local upload into the questionnaire?
I. Work plan for University of Cantabria and the resulting changes to the description of work.

Questionnaire telco Fri 16th October 3pm BT/4pm CET

Next general telco - Tues 20th October, 3pm BST/4pm CET.

- Actions from last telcos

The CIM now has the ability to specify source targets at level of simulation - the source of a coupling is a data object. The objective is to keep track of the initial condition of forcing file. When do you describe I/O at level of component and at level of simulation? Questionnaire describes I/O at level of simulation.

New people for WP3 - Michel from Climpact and Antonio from University of Cantabria. Possible work by University of Cantabria - add the use of CIM information into their existing ensembles portal. We need to agree the amendment to the DoW to bring UoCantabria in as new partner.

- Questionnaire news after GO-ESSP

Most recent CMIP5 timeline:
Modelling groups ready to go within next month. Runs completed summer 2010, output expected December 2010. Deadlines for questionnaire and service deliverables have tightened.

PCMDI wants to open the portal before Dec 2010 deadline. We assumed no data would be ready until questionnaire was ready. Discussion happening with WGCM, who want to have a model output being citeable. It was proposed that the CIM instance will be a citable document, and Micheal has a way of doing this.

Incentive to do questionnaire in getting the model run cited. Mechanism for citing the CIM has to be in place soon.

Deadline on releasing the questionnaire has tightened - can't afford to let it slip anymore.

Dedicated questionnaire telco on Friday 16th at usual time.

- CV news

Good feedback on mind maps from NCAR people. Discussion at GO-ESSP about bundling - agreed to accept it for mind maps for new parameters (new version of complex parameters). New version of mind maps are tagged with bdl. We'll keep 3 versions of the mind maps for the time being. 2 mind maps are now in bundled version (ocean and atmosphere) - these can now be put into the ESG system now, others will be done this week.

Controlled vocabulary server - BODC (Roy Lowry). We'll start collaborating with him soon to make sure the server can deal with our CV.

Rupert and Sylvia working on how to translate mind maps to go into the ESG portal. Questionnaire has drop-down menu for controlled vocabulary and "other" to provide free text in text box. Mixing these up can cause problems in rdf. Questionnaire responses will have some amount of human processing - we can post-process the questionnaire responses to add the free text "other" into the controlled vocabulary. Solution for ESG - ignore "other" for the automatic translation of mind maps for ESG portal.

- CIM news

Allyn gave an overview of the CIM and the most relevent recent changes that have been made. Version 1.3 (coming out at end of the month):
1. Changes how transformers are handled.
2. Adds ability to add priming information to couplings or connections.
3. Activity package - inputs to a simulation are now couplings - means they can link to or from files/components. Each coupling has a coupling purpose which specifies what sort of coupling it is (e.g. boundary condition)
4. Numerical requirements also have optional sources and requirements.

- CIM tools and services and CIM testing news (WP3)

Services group telco last Friday (notes are on the wiki at http://metaforclimate.eu/trac/wiki/WP4/Agile/Sprints/01).

Might need a face-to-face meeting to coordinate WP3 with UoCantabria in future. We can start by defining scope of the collaborations via email and then go from there.

- misc:
    - deliverables

Deliverable 6.1 will be finalised today to tomorrow and Eric will deliver it to the EU tomorrow.

  - Y2 meeting

Everyone who hasn't already done it - to go to the doodle poll and put their dates in. Location still to be decided, but will be in Europe.
