METAFOR Deliverable 7.2 - A detailed dissemination plan

Status: Month 3

Dissemination of results is a fundamental METAFOR activity. The task of presenting the results of METAFOR to its intended audience will be initiated via a detailed dissemination plan. The evolving plan will include:

  • the identification of audiences
  • types of messages to deliver
  • a roadmap
  • performance measurements

The dissemination plan will aim to identify and target new user communities and applications, such as new research disciplines, new industrial and commercial groups and branches of government such as the energy industry, flood defence, environmental agencies to promote and exploit METAFOR's results in the widest possible way.

The detailed dissemnation plan has been provided to the EC for month 3 and it will be updated every 6 months.

Dissemination

The dissemination activities in the first reporting period (Month 3) will be targeted primarily towards the researchers and developers working with the Common Information Model (CIM).  Towards this end, the initial method of the dissemination will be via Inernet presence in the form of the METAFOR web site, search enginers, partner websites, associated forums, TRAC tickets, the regular use of email lists, and teleconferences.

The initial effort at targeting audiences external to METAFOR will be done through the production of an leaflet describing the aims of METAFOR, posters and presentations at European and International Conferences and Workshops by participating METAFOR Partners, and the METAFOR website. All partners have been encouraged to participate directly in the dissemination activities.

Leaflet

The final version of the leaflet "Introduction to METAFOR's Objectives" is now Leaflet presenting METAFOR objectives.  This leaflet has been developed as part of METAFOR's dissemination plan.

Printing instructions:

1. Select paper size: A4

2. Set page scaling to "None"

3. Print double sided with "flip on the short edge"
